Our presentation features the Royal Mail's 2003 miniature sheet containing the final 9 stamps issued between 1953 and 1959 and is entitled 'Wilding Definitives II' . It is postmarked 20th May 2003 - the first day of issue - at George Street London, home of Dorothy Wilding's original studio. The first stamps to feature Queen Elizabeth II were issued by the Post Office on December 5th 1952, the royal image they featured was the work of the photographer, Dorothy Wilding, the first woman ever granted 'By Appointment' status.

As one of the most accomplished artists, Lord Lichfield was uniquely positioned to offer his personal signature of approval to the 'Wilding Definitives Collection II' First Day Cover.
